History

In 1948, legendary architect Hugo Franz Keuhne, founder of the School of Architecture at the University of Texas, designed The Commodore Perry Hotel. The Commodore Perry was "Austin's Hotel of Distinction," boasting complete air conditioning, the largest ballroom in the city, plus radio and televisions in every room.

In 1984, the hotel was converted into an office building and renamed One Commodore Plaza. Today, under the direction of Pomeroy Reinhart Stration Development, it has been transformed into a live, work, play, mixed-use development offering luxury condominium residences, a smartly-planned office condominium and two levels of convenience and destination retail anchored by renowned jeweler Anthony Nak.
